The weather is finally cooling down and we’re looking forward to nestling under cozy covers. It goes without saying that we're big wool fans, for its rich texture and celebrated warmth, so we’re thrilled to have this line now in stock.
Each throw is handwoven in Boyaca, Colombia and made out of virgin wool which is strong and thick thanks to very minimal processing. The colors are 100% natural and their luxurious softness in combination with unvarnished finishes make them the perfect balance between sophistication and rawness.
Recently I’ve been coming across the work of so many talented creatives from the Scandinavian countries, that I’ve started to develop a travel itch. Last week I discovered Christina Liljenberg Halstrøm, Nordic furniture designer, currently residing in Copenhagen, who epitomizes the ethos of function over form that characterizes Danish industrial design. Her minimalistic approach, as well as her common choice of materials like wood, leather and wool are just a few of the elements that make her pieces timeless. Her whole line Georg, made up of a stool, bench, mirror, bracket table and clothes rack with hangers is stunningly beautiful and is the perfect representation of her ability to simplify until only pure function remains. More about her work here.

Raw Color, a Netherlands based duo formed by Christoph Brach and Daniera ter Haar, created the Wool Testlab. The video showcases some of the native properties of merino wool like elasticity, weight, and strength. It was created for the Woolmark exhibition, which showcases beautiful commercially available wool products, pursuant to leading fashion and textile trends. I absolutely love Raw Color’s simple, playful and vibrant design as well as their creative process full of experimentation.
