Travel: Palm Desert & Joshua Tree

POSTED BY Giselle Hernandez, 06.Aug.2016

In the middle of Palm Desert’s Old West ecosystem, there’s Hope Springs Resort, a tasteful oasis with natural hot springs and stunning architecture. Without a doubt, a hidden gem in the desert, perfect for relaxation.

Hope Springs is located only 40 minutes away from Joshua Tree National Park. Named after the Joshua trees native to the park, this magical place with dramatic natural features is one of the most popular touristic destinations in the Mojave Desert. Massive, photogenic boulders surrounding its landscape offer an invitation to hike, climb and enjoy some of the best scenic views in Southern California.

Suddenly, Last Summer

Dazzling architecture, and exquisite food and wine will quickly lure you into Italy’s raw charm. Late last summer, I got to visit for the first time and there are moments engrained in my memory of being in Italian delis with endless selections of good wine, cured meats and cheeses. People taking long lunch breaks in the middle of the day to enjoy fresh panini with a glass of wine. I got to spend time in Florence, Cinque Terre and Pisa and at the end of the short week, I realized that it was all just the first chapter. It will take multiple trips to experience Italy's vast amount of cultural wealth and I can't wait to return to see its other regions.

Travel: Portland, Oregon

POSTED BY Giselle Hernandez, 09.Oct.2015

Rain or shine we headed out to explore Portland last spring. This small, but bustling city filled with lushness, incredible food, and cyclist has been on my list of places to travel to for a long time. A perfect weather forecast allowed us to wander around the neighborhoods while enjoying the rose gardens and unkempt herb bushes that lined the sidewalks. Check out the photos and make sure to visit some of our favorite spots if you’re ever in that area:
